Good morning Good Life!
What a week! I sincerely love my family, but who knew that full time childcare could be so much work. Because of the potential exposure to Zeke, Dietrich and Annika also had to stay home from our daycare, which meant that in spite of all of our intentions to do so, neither my wife nor I had much of a chance to actually "work from home". Keeping active, growing minds engaged without just plopping them in front of a screen is a full time job. My hat is off to our childcare workers who do this day in and day out. I have alway known that you are underpaid, but now I fully feel and appreciate your value.
It was truly a blessing to spend so much time with my kids. They are way cooler than me, and we all remained healthy and symptom free all week as we ran around outside in the fresh air and sunshine (at least when it was shining) in our bare feet. We all got a little burnt, but it was worth all the laughs. Believe it or not, this is the most time I have been away from the office consecutively since we opened our doors in 2016. While I will miss the kids, I do, in fact, still get to see them before and after office hours every day. And I will continue to do so, as we have the all clear from the Department of Health to reopen our doors this week!
I cannot believe how much I missed our adjustiments. Checking my kids and wife is a regular part of our daily routine at home, but the interactions I have with each of you are what get me up in the morning. Hearing your successes, working through the struggles, seeing each of you take the next step in your health journey toward your maximum potential are things I never take for granted and dearly missed over the last 8 days. I sincerely appreciated your grace and understanding of the situation, and thank you deeply for the patience you all have displayed.
Given how things have gone this week, I am more excited than ever for our next workshop. I have so many stories to share with you, recipes we have tried, and other practical tips we can all implement as we strive to remove those things that interfere with us achieving true health. We will be delaying tomorrow evening's workshop, however, as my absence has prevented the proper planning for such an event. Stay tuned for updates on date/time/location, as you will not want to miss this one!
I look forward to our next visit. Be blessed to be a blessing!
